School Bus Drivers
Under general supervision, school bus drivers transport passengers safely between assigned stops and schools according to specified routes and time schedules. They may also transport students and adults on field trips and outings. Bus drivers are expected to maintain order during trips and adhere to safety rules when loading and unloading passengers.
School Bus Monitors
The school bus monitor works as a team with the driver to help keep students safe by helping maintain order and establishing good relationships with the children, parents, and other staff. This may include assisting with the loading and unloading of students, making sure children remain safely seated while the bus is in motion, helping to prevent altercations between students, making sure the interior of the bus stays clean and in good condition, and helping children get off at the correct bus stop.
